Birthday proceeds donated to Cambodia projects
A quick shout out this morning to 10 year old twins Bonita and Aleeya Holman (good friends of my daughter Mia) who some of you would remember last month spent the best part of a day baking cakes and biscuits to sell to raise money for our Cambodia projects (pic attached).
Well, their generosity has continued with both of them recently deciding that instead of receiving presents for their birthday on August 16 they would ask people to once again donate to support the projects in Andong slum village and remote Oddar Meanchey.
This kind gesture resulted in nearly $300 being raised to help us continue to deliver a free education and meals to 1,200 children from some of the poorest families on the planet. What an unbelievably selfless act from these two wonderful young girls to consider others at the time of their birthday celebrations when quite rightly the attention is normally focussed on them. Thank you so much Bonita and Aleeya.
When I shared this story with our in-country Director Pastor Abe he was keen to encourage the students at our schools to express their gratitude which they have done in the attached pictures.
