Cambodia projects pass site and operational inspections with flying colours
I have some terrific and important news to share with you about our Cambodia projects that reflects the tireless dedication of our on ground teams in both Andong slum village and remote Oddar Meanchey.
About eight years ago we entered into a partnership with Australian non-government organisation Global Development Group to enable contributions to our projects to be fully tax deductible and to provide greater transparency and accountability both on the ground in Cambodia, but also here in Australia.
It has been a very fruitful relationship and an important aspect of our overall objective of lifting some of the poorest families on the planet out of poverty. One of the commitments we have made is to provide detailed monitoring and reporting to GDG and this includes regular site visits by their representatives in southeast Asia.
The latest visit occurred last week and I'm pleased to say that it went very well and all aspects of our project operation in-country passed with flying colours. This is testament to the professionalism and dedication of our director Pastor Abe and his amazing team and I'm so proud of all that they do.
It is not easy to juggle the daily responsibilities of running two slum village schools (amid all the other activities we are committed to) where 1200 kids receive a first class education and nutritious meals with the rigours of meeting the reporting and monitoring requirements set by the Cambodian and Australian governments.
