Just a quick shout out to pass on my gratitude to our team of merry helpers who turned up to this year's Kangaroo Island Racing carnival clean-ups in aid of our humanitarian projects in Cambodia.

Across the three days of the event in January and February we managed to generate slightly less than $3,500 which is a fantastic result. To put it into perspective, this amount of money will keep eight teachers in the classrooms of our two schools where 1200 underprivileged kids receive a free education and meals for a whole month. For all of these children this is the only education available to them so it's vitally important we keep the schools up and running and fundraisers like this one a key to achieving this objective.

In other news, I'm very excited that we are finally on the eve of a long-awaited return to Cambodia for a small group of us who fly out on Sunday morning for the best part of ten days in-country. On the agenda, among other things, is cutting the ribbon on the brand new $500,000 Andong slum village high school, meeting with local students, teachers and families and undertaking an emergency food aid program for remote villagers who are still doing it tough as a result of the Covid pandemic. I can't wait.

As we haven't visited Cambodia for over four years thanks to Covid we are just easing back into things, but I'm hopeful this will be the first of many more regular sojourns into the country now that some semblance of normality has returned to international travel so I look forward to inviting a wider group on the next trip.
