Girls brave the elements to raise funds

Torrential rain and 100km/h winds this afternoon didn't deter my daughter Mia and two of her best friends Aleeya and Bonita from going ahead with a great little fundraiser for our Cambodia projects that they planned some weeks ago.

They spent the morning cooking up a storm at home and then took to the streets to peddle their gourmet creations, ranging from melting moments, to choc chip cookies and cupcakes. In no time at all they had offloaded the lot to people around town and raised an impressive $207 to support the operation of our two slum village schools where almost 1200 students receive a free education and nutritious meals every day. They were really encouraged by people's enthusiasm when making their purchases and had many 'keep the change' moments throughout the afternoon.

To put it into perspective, this amount of money will cover the cost of feeding 27 of our village kids at one of our schools for a whole month. An amazing outcome. I'm so proud of your efforts, compassion and dedication to the cause girls. Please accept my heartfelt akuns (thanks).

We would love for you to consider partnering with us in an array of great projects across two of Cambodia's poorest provinces by making a tax deductible donation today (or any day).

You can contribute directly into our Australian working account 'Supporting Cambodia' BSB 015 600, A/C 196 791 878 (please include your name & email address in the transaction)
