Staggered by fundraising total at fireworks night
On the back of the successful fundraiser for our Cambodia projects at the Kingscote Show last weekend, a small band of us fronted up to the fireworks night at the Stokes Bay Hall on Saturday night to peddle some more ice creams and mixed lollies and I have to say I'm somewhat staggered by the amount of funds raised.
Once word spread that our ice creams were so lofty they came with a police escort, we soon had quite the line-up, and combined with very generously proportioned bags of mixed lollies, the fundraising tally didn't take long to mount up.
Thanks to some generous sponsors who covered much of the costs, I'm very pleased to report that the total raised for the evening was $1750, which is just staggering. Once again this will have a massive impact in our two schools and the villages we support. To put it into perspective this will cover the cost for over 230 of our 1100 students to receive a nutritious meal for a whole month.
A massive thank you to our dedicated volunteers, sponsors and donors for your continued support.
We would love for you to consider partnering with us in an array of great projects across two of Cambodia's poorest provinces by making a tax deductible donation today (or any day). You can contribute directly into our Australian working account ‘Supporting Cambodia’ BSB: 015-600 Account: 1967 91878 (Please include your name and email address in the transaction for a tax receipt) or with a credit card on our donation page.
Many thanks,
Rob
